CREATOR PRICING GUIDE

Know your worth.
Charge accordingly.

A practical guide for Indian creators to calculate fair rates for brand collaborations — based on your actual performance, not just your follower count.

1

Calculate your base rate

Two methods — use both and take the higher number as your floor.

Method A CPV (Cost Per View)
Take the average views from your last 10 posts/reels and multiply by a per-view rate.
Base rate = Avg. views × ₹0.20 to ₹0.60
Low ER → use ₹0.20  |  High ER (7%+) → use ₹0.50–₹0.60
Method B Follower baseline
Charge ₹800 to ₹1,250 per 1,000 followers as a starting point. This is a floor, not a ceiling — if your engagement rate is above 4%, adjust upward.
Base rate = (Followers ÷ 1,000) × ₹800 to ₹1,250
Which method to use? If your average views are higher than your follower count (good Reels reach), the CPV method will give you a higher number. Always quote the higher result from both methods — that's your actual market rate.
2

Adjust for content format

Not all content takes the same effort or delivers the same reach. Apply these multipliers to your base rate.

Static feed post
×1.0
Your base rate. Simple benchmark — everything else is calculated relative to this.
Instagram Stories
×0.6 – 0.7
Disappear after 24 hours. Charge 30–40% less than a post, unless the brand requests Highlights placement.
Content bundle
×2.0 – 2.3
Reel + post + 3 stories. Offer a slight discount vs individual rates to close deals faster — brands love the package.
Reels first. Lead your rate card with Reel pricing — brands primarily ask for Reels for reach, and it anchors expectations for everything else.
3

Add fees on top

These are non-negotiable add-ons. Never bundle them into your base rate — line-item everything.

Usage rights — brand channels
Brand reposts your content on their own social profiles or website. Charge per month of usage.
+20–30%per month used
Usage rights — paid ads
Brand runs your content as a paid ad (Meta, Google, etc.). This is high-value usage — charge accordingly.
+40–50%per month of ad run
Exclusivity clause
Brand asks you not to work with competitors during a set period. Price per month, not as a flat fee.
+50%of full project fee
Revisions beyond 2
Include up to 2 rounds in your base price. Any additional revision is billable separately.
₹500–₹2Kper extra revision
Always send a written rate card or email confirmation before starting work. "Verbal deals" in influencer marketing rarely end well — especially around usage rights.
4

Know where you stand

Standard India market rates by creator tier. Use this as a sanity check — your calculated rate should land in this range.

Nano1K – 10K

₹1,500 – ₹5,000₹500 – ₹2,000

₹8,000 – ₹50,000
₹5,000 – ₹30,000₹2,000 – ₹12,000
Mid-tier100K – 500K

₹2,50,000 – ₹8,00,000
₹1,50,000 – ₹5,00,000₹60,000 – ₹2,00,000
Nano ≠ cheap. Nano creators (1K–10K) often have 10–15% engagement rates. That level of trust and authenticity is worth more to the right brand than a million passive followers. Don't undercharge.
